Marketed as beer for punks, Scotland-based BrewDog has been conjuring up innovative craft brews since early 2007 with a mandate to change the face of the beer industry. From their award-winning ‘Punk IPA’, to the black lager ‘Zeitgeist’, to the ‘Sink the Bismark!’ (at 41% ABV, the world’s strongest beer since 2010), BrewDog offers stellar craft beer worth traveling for.
Head to England to down their tasty and hardcore beers with company at their series of stylish bars, launched as a “focal point for the craft beer proletariat.” Just like the brewery itself, the bars boast an edgy, punk rock feel. Or as the Scottish agency behind the interior, CM Design, puts it, the concept is “Cold War chic meets abandoned factory.” Once inside BrewDog let the barmen lead you through their collection’s best and be ready to down a pint or two (or four). It won’t disappoint. (We particularly love their Camden location.)
From northeast Scotland to around the world – in a bottle or at the bar – BrewDog really is the beer with a bite.
