An American {Food Truck} in Paris

Submitted by on June 5, 2012 – 11:08 amNo Comment

When another food truck slinging tacos and burgers hits the streets of New York or San Francisco, it can easily go unnoticed. But in Paris? Mon dieu! Oui, mesdames and messieurs, the food truck has crossed the pond and is now happily chugging along those infamous Parisian streets where baguettes and foie gras once ruled the day.

Founded by Canadian-American, San Francisco-born Jordan Feilders, Cantine California serves up authentic burgers, milkshakes, cupcakes, pancakes, tacos, burritos, and other Baja California-inspired eats to a growing following. Armed with a professional kitchen in the truck and two chefs at the helm – with enough training to pass any French culinary test – Cantine California aims to bring together quality French products with American street food traditions. All ingredients are French, bien sur, organic, and either made in house or especially for the truck.

So are the Parisians buying in to this burger-touting truck? Mais oui.
