A Ginger Snap Spirit: SNAP, That’s Good!

Submitted by on January 4, 2011 – 1:53 pmNo Comment

snapp1So you think you’re all cookied out after the holiday season? Well, you may want to rethink that and try treating yourself to a tumbler-full of SNAP. Think of it as your daily cookie intake, but in boozy liquid form. Philadelphia-based Art in the Age developed this ‘somewhat sweet, spicy and buttery’ spirit using an old Pennsylvania Dutch recipe for Lebkuchen (better known to most of us as gingersnaps). The company blends real ginger, blackstrap molasses, nutmeg and cloves to create ‘a sophisticated, organic spirit…designed for people who know how to drink.’ Anyone who’s still in a baking mood after a few sips can check out the company’s recipes for things like SNAP caramels or SNAP-spiked gingersnaps, plus a whole range of SNAP-based cocktails. Snap, that’s good.
