Contemplate Your Cuppa: Sensory Lab

Submitted by Colleen Fraser on August 17, 2010 – 8:51 pmOne Comment

Screen shot 2010-08-17 at 10.34.25 PMSensory Lab in Melbourne is essentially a coffee concept space that allows you to taste and explore those mighty brews. But this is not the place for early-morn, half-asleep caffeine grabs. Here, you better be willing to get detailed about your cafe of choice. Step inside their David Jones’ location and you’ll feel like you’ve walked into an apothecary shop with scales, vials, cabinets, and clipboards arranged before you. For the full sensory experience, prepare to be greeted by wait staff in lab coats who will boggle your mind with selections and facts from brewing methods to tasting notes. Once you have your ideal brew in hand, tuck into a minimalist bench and stool cubicle to contemplate your cuppa in all its complex, sensory glory.
