Hot Buns: Baker Tweet
There are few things better than eating warm pastries straight out of the oven. Think pain au chocolate, flaky, buttery, and warm, saturated with dripping melted chocolate. That’s what eating pastries is all about. Happily there is now BakerTweet: a device installed at bakeries that enables busy bakers to alert the Twitter world when something is fresh and piping hot out of the oven.
Albion Café in London is among the first to use the contraption and more than 1,700 followers can’t get enough of their updates to know when baguettes and buns are steamy. Their descriptive tweets – matched with photos and all – definitely
help the drool-inducing follow factor: ‘Delicately flakey yet unctuously oozy, Apple Turnovers are opposites attracting’. Or another favorite, ‘Crackly shells disguise a soft centre of gorgeous cloudy dough. Temptingly toasty fresh Baguettes’.
The imagery of these delectable updates is almost enough. All you can do now is hope that BakerTweet makes its way to a boulangerie near you too.
